People
The McCarter Team is comprised of a multi-talented, efficient workforce with the proven ability to provide fast response to the complicated and/or critical needs of our customers. Most of the team has been with McCarter for many years and have weathered the ups and downs of our small business. This can-do attitude at McCarter has given us a world-renowned reputation for accomplishing tasks that others hesitate to attempt.
Ellie McCarter and Doug McCarter are the principals of the company. Roger Paquin is our Materials Stabilization Scientist. Matt Tangedahl is the Operations Manager, and Zach Richey is our local Customer Sales Representative.
- Ellie McCarter, President and co-Founder of McCarter Machine, is the controller of daily and future business operations. She has a BS in Business Finance and under her direction McCarter has supplied, and is currently supplying critical components on government programs and received several awards such as Deer Park's Business of the Year, all the while maintaining their important customer base with the local petrochemical industry.
- Doug McCarter, Vice-President and co-Founder, serves as technical integrator and customer liaison. Doug has authored and co-authored seven technical papers concerning SCSi processing and application, and was designated as a "Senior Member" in SPIE that honors those who have significantly contributed to the optics and photonics community.
- Roger Paquin is a world-renowned material stabilization scientist, author, and teacher. Roger is a fellow in the SPIE Society. Fellows are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. At McCarter, Roger is providing the scientific merit into the implementation of SCSi into laser, telescope, and space systems.
